Together, the following plans paint a picture of the town that Pittsboro aims to become. The plans cover aspects that affect residents' everyday lives, like transportation, parks and recreation, and land use. The Town uses these plans to guide its planning and development decisions in the present.
As part of the Land Use Plan update in 2023, the town received a Partners for Green Growth grant from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. The grant helped create a story map that illustrates natural resources and wildlife in the town, as well as ways to balance development with conservation. View the story map online.
