Small Area Plans

Overview

The Chatham Park Land Use Map divides Chatham Park into multiple subsections. The Chatham Park Master Plan originally envisioned each of these sections having its own Small Area Plan (i.e., a plan designed to improve, preserve, and/or regulate a smaller portion of the overall development). For administrative efficiency, the Town of Pittsboro has allowed the developer to submit Small Area Plans that cover multiple sections instead of one plan per section.

Chatham Park Small Area Plans

  • North Village Small Area Plan (approved October 12, 2021)
  • South Village Phase 1 Small Area Plan (application anticipated in early 2023)
  • South Village Phase 2 Small Area Plan (TBD)

North Village Small Area Plan - Proposed Amendment

The applicant, Chatham Park Investors, is proposing an amendment to the North Village Small Area Plan. You can read this short summary of the proposed changes and read the drafts of the amendment here:

This item is scheduled to go to the Planning Board for review on June 5, 2023. The agenda for that meeting will be posted in late May.
