The Promotions, Design and Economic Vitality Committees are groups of volunteers committed to the continued improvement of downtown, creating new economic development strategies to improve economic growth, the visual appearance, and overall well-being of downtown. Below is a description of each of our committees:
Promotions Committee – This Committee aids in strategically developing downtown as Pittsboro’s premier destination for social, cultural, and business activity that increases and supports social connectivity and commercial sales.
Economic Vitality Committee - The EV Committee works to facilitate and support existing businesses and new economic growth in downtown that aggressively builds on identified economic drivers.
Design Committee - The Design Committee strives to enhance the physical appearance of Downtown Pittsboro to increase financial investment, cultural vibrancy, and social cohesion. This Committee reviews and recommends designs, placement, materials and other decisions related to aesthetics for streetscape improvements. They also review Façade Grant Applications to make recommendations to the Town Board.
