Town Publishes 2022 Water Quality Report; No Violations Found
PITTSBORO, NC - The Town of Pittsboro is pleased to announce the receipt and publication of the 2022 Water Quality Report. We are proud to share that we have, yet again, fully complied with all water quality rules and regulations.
Cory Saulsbury, ORC/Superintendent at the Water Plant, stated, "This accomplishment showcases our commitment to our community's health and safety. Our water treatment team's dedication ensures the highest water quality standards are met for our town."
Pittsboro's water system was assessed against a list of many different types of contaminants, including Microbial, Inorganic, Pesticides and Herbicides, Organic chemicals, and Radioactive contaminants., among others. We are proud to confirm that our water quality surpasses these stringent standards.
The Town encourages all residents to review the 2022 Water Quality Report, available on our website and at the Town Hall. The report provides valuable information about our water treatment processes and how each resident can contribute to maintaining our water quality and conserving this precious resource.
Saulsbury added, "Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to producing drinking water that meets and exceeds all state and federal standards for regulated chemicals. We want our citizens to trust the water flowing from their taps. We will continue our investments in infrastructure and processes to continue to meet and exceed standards for regulated chemicals while addressing those which are not yet regulated."
