MEDIA ADVISORY: DOWNTOWN PITTSBORO VISION FORUM AND NOTICE OF POTENTIAL QUORUM
PITTSBORO, NC – The Town of Pittsboro is partnering with NC Main Street and the Rural Planning Center from the North Carolina Department of Commerce for a Community Vision Forum sponsored by the Chatham County Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited to participate in the Downtown Pittsboro Vision Forum to provide feedback on a wide range of ideas to improve downtown Pittsboro in the coming years.
Where: The event will be held at the Chatham County Agriculture Center (1192 US 64 West Business, Pittsboro, NC 27312)
When: The Vision Forum will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 6 pm.
Why: Pittsboro is a designated NC Main Street Community that recently moved from the Small-Town Main Street Program to the more advanced Main Street Program. At the upcoming forum, members of the Pittsboro Downtown Advisory Board and Pittsboro residents will participate in a series of exercises that will help identify assets, economic drivers, and economic development strategies that will be used to craft a five-year vision for downtown Pittsboro. While the forum is focused on the Downtown area, Pittsboro and surrounding residents are invited and encouraged to attend and participate. Whether someone lives, works, shops, or dines Downtown, we hope you will join us on August 16!
Note: There may be a quorum of the Pittsboro Board of Commissioners and the Pittsboro Downtown Advisory Board present at this event, but there is no agenda, and no official business will be discussed.
